Explorations in college algebra

These materials are based on problems using actual data drawn from a wide variety of sources including; the U.S.Census, medical texts, Educational Testing Services, United States Olympic Committee, and the Center for Disease Control. The first half of the text focuses on applications in the social sciences, and the second half on applications in the physical and life sciences.
