The last Blue Moon was on New Years Eve, 2009 and the next will be July 31, 2015.The is one of the most popular song themes ? Frank Sinatra singing "Fly Me To The Moon" was played by the Apollo 10 astronauts on their lunar orbital mission in 1969.Who doesnt remember: "Moon River," "Shine on Harvest Moon," "Bad Moon Rising" ? but those were songs about normal moons.There have been about a dozen or so songs focusing on a Blue Moon. Sad and lonely songs like "Blue Moon" and "Blue Moon of Kentucky."Sad and lonely? Not the three of us! We are sexy, sassy and fun ? in our personalities and our writing.
