Slaughterhouse six tales and poems from around

    Por FINLEY, N.V.

    Sobre

This is my first collection of short stories and poetry. The pieces included were written during the last three years while I?ve been traveling. The poems are of two types: poems employing a more conventional technique treat issues such as family, romance and travel; then there are poems that use a technique called ?atmospherism?. These poems treat topics such as creativity, mysticism and community. There are eight prose pieces touching on a number of topics, including Arthurian legend and general fantasy, colonialism and sensuality, Nazism and World War II.In this collection we travel from home to foreign cultures, up into the mountains and under the sea, and half-way around the globe. We meet Buddha and Christ and Sufism, and we witness historical moments such as the Arab Spring and the horrors such as the American justice system and beauty such as the coast of Cornwall or the wonders of the Red Sea. Above all the poems seek to inspire and to celebrate life, even in the face of apocalyptic fears.
