It was just about a year after our graduation from the university when we heard about a good number of our friends who were already engaged and some who were already married. However, we were not frightened by their success. My friends and I had planned never to get into a marital home without a well-paid job to hold on to. We did not come from poor homes but we had to be ladies on our own. For a while, we became carried away by the amount of money that we had in our accounts and enjoyed our single lives.
