Poems from my heart

I come from a seperated family, and just wanted things to be different for me when I settled down. I have always had the ideal life planned out in my head, a good job, someone by my side in life, and even children one day. I knew that it would be hard to acheive these ideals and that they wouldnt come easy. I passed my exams at school then I got stuck in a dead end job. I was at the typical teenager stage, the moods, the angst, and mostly a sudden interest in the 'L' word... yes that's right, I'm talking about Love...Well when I say love, what I really mean is Lust. I met a girl, got closer over time, left the dead end job and joined my father in our family business. Me and my father have always had a very close relationship. Maybe because I lived with my mum and only saw my father at weekends. Anyway back to the girl...Things were looking up, we started house hunting, finally found one and moved in together. I had found 'the one' as we like to call it, or so i thought. The next few chapters are poems/pieces of writing that I would like to share with you, to help you get to know me a little more. As you read this short book of poems, you will see a relationship begin, then grow, and then slowly collapse in on itself. I have always worn my heart on my sleeve, to some it's a gift and to others it's a curse. All i know is that love makes you blind to reality, so once in a while take a step back, look at your life and ask yourself, "Am I really happy". I hope you enjoy the next few chapters of this rollercoaster i like to call 'My Life'....
