It’s like war you can’t always pinpoint how it started how long it lasted or sometimes if it even really ended at all. It was war. It started out as an invasion… no… as a slow, subtle infiltration that escalated into a world war that thawed into a civil war that ended in a war that ended but didn’t.
This is my story of sexual abuse; my emotional and spiritual journey to healing and victory. No one choses to or expects to be sexually abused. The abuse is never the victim's fault. However, each of us has a choice about how to move forward. I didn't always make the best choices. That's for sure but this journey, this adventure, this war, lead me on a path to discover more about myself and life than I would have ever learned otherwise. I struggled with cutting and with suicide along the way but learned that in my weakness I was not defeated, it was simply a bump in the road to my victory. My faith in Jesus was really what kept me going and my hope is the through my story others can be inspired. I do not go into graphic detail about anything so this is not the novella for people looking for an erotic story. This is intended to encourage other survivors of sexual abuse that they can have victory and possibly help family members better understand what a survivor may be going through. I am not claiming my story is like anyone else’s I simply hope someone can be inspired through my struggles and triumphs. Anyone hoping to be inspired should read this.
