How to speak in public? 7 Step Practical Guide

Hello,
7 out of 10 people hate or admit they would hate (given the opportunity) public speaking. That is 70 out of every 100 people!
It’s important to remember these numbers and say to yourself that the people watching and listening to you have empathy and are probably thinking “what would I do if I were in his / her shoes?” or “How is it that he / she is so at ease?”
The objective of this book is first and foremost practical, presenting an efficient methodology that can be used for any type of public speaking, meetings, etc.
I use it regularly myself and I share it with students, managers, politicians, among others and have done so for many years. This practical guide can be used prior to your event as a checklist or as the framework so that you can verify that you are correctly applying the methodology.
I say prior because it is a mistake to think that good orators don’t prepare! Practice helps and makes us more confident, but nothing replaces preparation in particular for you, having invested in this e-book.
Recently I heard an actor and comedian, who always appears very at ease on stage and in front of the cameras, say that despite appearances, 20% of his work is improvisation and 80% is preparation and training.
Even great improvisers practice.
Therefore, you need a METHOD. For all the rest, the secret is: practice, practice and more practice!
Practice makes perfect! If you only drove your car once a year, you certainly would not have much confidence behind the wheel! The same goes for public speaking!
Practice! At home, with your family, in town, in professional or private meetings… wherever you can, you will gain confidence and experience.
To quote Einstein and to better understand what I’m getting at: « knowledge is gained through experience, everything else is just information. »
