Work related stress and a marriage that came as a complete shock, led Sophia Lampton on a perilous journey into the unknown. In order to appease the Groom’s family and her work-related clients Sophia kept up the pretence until a bungled abduction started to break down the walls of defence, she had built to protect her heart, not from the acceptance of love, but the fear of rejection.
About the author: I hold a healthy respect for other people’s cultural and religious beliefs which is why I was inspired to write this interracial romantic comedy set in India. I firmly believe that diversity is our strength. All characters and events depicted in this story come completely from the author’s imagination.The biggest challenge I found when writing this particular novella, because it was set in another country with its own cultural and religious belief systems, was that I didn’t want to offend anybody. It is the nature of comedy however that in all the chaos some toes will get trodden on but no offense was ever intended. I hope you enjoy it.
