Backstory
In 2005 a bunch of enthusiastic inexperienced hyper-creative writers in San Diego drank too much Two Buck Chuck at a series of parties (which they called Anti-Socials) and said, "Hey, kids! Let's put on a show!"
In writer-speak "putting on a show" means: Publish a magazine.
They did. It was called WORD|san diego. It ran for two years and somehow those enthusiastic inexperienced hyper-creative writers managed to get the likes of Ray Bradbury, Arianna Huffington, David Sedaris, Victor Villaseñor, Lawrence Ferlinghetti and others to either be interviewed or contribute an article.
