It was one thing to have heard of the Holocaust, agreeing that the Holocaust constituted one of the most egregious horrors of the 20th century, but taking “Holocaust” out of the realm of ideas that I have thought about and inserting it into concrete plans, projects and deeds that I expected to undertake— well, I can only say that I felt unprepared. Uh oh.
