All Sebastian wants to do is become a pilot; that's why he has moved his family to America and sunk his life's savings into learning to fly. With Barbie, his supportive but distressingly critical wife, and Boris, his suspiciously Russian instructor, Sebastian pursues the school's owners, Joe, an incompetent but oblivious airline captain and Esther, his manipulative wife.
Sharply written, with engaging characters and snappy dialogue, Crash Landing is the story of Sebastian Wilson, an English flight student who, along with his friends at Florida Aviation Training, is about to lose everything when the owners of the school decide that while they enjoy the money that a flight school brings in, they aren't as crazy about the hard work of actually running the place. As with much of the best crime humour, Crash Landing is, of course, set in Florida; if you've enjoyed Carl Hiaasen or S.V Date, then Crash Landing will entertain and delight.
