Mackenzie Taylor works as a Community worker with her own up and coming organisation in a small town on the skirts of a large picturesque river. She is surrounded by her friends and every growing family. Mackenzie or better known by all that know her as Mac. She is all about family and finding a way to make things fit together. With her long time friend Samuel, together things just seem to happen for better or worse.
Samuel is a emergancy room designer that has to fly all over the world to assist with different projects. He is not home a lot of the time, which makes having a relationship of any kind interesting. However, Mac and Sam seem to find a way to not only find time together but also enough time to get up to a lot more.
Mac's year begins with her sister's wedding, that results in her having a few more drinks than she really should have. The outcome of which starts a series of events that turns Mac's life upside down, changing it forever.
