The Weak- I-Formation is an I-formation with the Fullback (F) lined up to the weak side of the QB (away from the tight-end (Y).
The Weak-I-Set is best used as more of an outside running power game, while utilizing your F as a second Y type pass catcher out of the backfield (forcing the defense to honor four receivers on any play).
The Weak-I-Set is also great for misdirection screens and the short passing game releasing 2 receivers to either side, which is great for the short and medium passing game (a throwback to the later Lavell Edwards at BYU or the modern day spread short passing game).
