This week, we’ve got the final installment of Todd Nelsen’s The Days are Numbered. Then there’s a story of Faustian pacts and online collectables by Mark Slade, whose work also features in Hell Whore and Suffer Eternal, both available from Horrified Press. This is followed by another story by Birke Duncan, Roscoe Gat, whose protagonist is not crazy, he says, he just sees what other people don’t. The Days of Mr. Thomas reaches its twentieth episode, while Mathias Jansson, whose work has also featured in Horrified Press’ recent anthologies, tells us the story of Seven Goats
Daniel’s Dream is coming to a climax, while in The Caves of Mars our hero meets the sultry Azora of Taakbar and learns of an attack by the Brigands. The First Men in the Moon are still prisoners of the Selenites, while A Journey to the Centre of the Earth continues across the dangerous waters of the Central Sea. Thaddeus J Applebee is chronicling more of his nemesis (and alleged necrophiliac) Geordie McElroy, who now claims to have access to restricted archives. And Obsidian Mercutio Tesla is giving us another look through the Bionacle, this time at the return of Bigfoot and his Martian adventures.

Just as a reminder, we’re still open submissions to our latest anthology, The Pulpateers. What we’re looking for is previously unpublished old-style pulp stories in the genres of science fiction, fantasy and horror. Word length 6000. Please follow, as far as possible, the Lester Dent Pulp Fiction Formula. The content, as long as it’s sci fi/fantasy/horror, is up to the individual author, but try to make it pulpy and retro. Weird tales, superheroes, Flash Gordon-style space opera, even noir or spy-fi, as long as it has a supernatural or SF twist, will all be accepted. Deadline: 19th May. Payment: exposure plus discounted copies. Send all submissions to editor@schlock.co.uk
