MOKI (English Edition)

Based in part on actual events, Moki is the story of an old man who, on his deathbed recounts an incredible tale of being kidnapped by a family of gypsies in the 1940s. The young teen is forced to learn their ways and is quickly absorbed into the gypsy life quickly acquiring the skills of picking pockets and scamming the gullible at carnivals and in small towns across the Canadian Prairies. It's a story about coming of age, falling in love, confronting fear and danger, and eventually coming to terms with death.
