Wales, 1716: Leaving her home and all she knew behind to fulfill a promise to her recently deceased brother, Einir Wyn, a Lady of noble birth, heads to a small harbour town on the rugged coast of North Wales looking for passage to France, and hopefully, a reunion with her mother.
On finding herself aboard a sailing ship with her travelling companion, she soon becomes one of the crew, heading towards unexpected adventures on sea and in the great forests and jungles of Africa. Along the way she will forge the strongest of friendships with her crew and new found friends, losing a few along the way as she battles not only the elements, but pirates, slave traders, and the dreaded ' human flesh eaters' in this voyage of discovery and self-discovery.
This is the first in a series of books about our heroine. In further adventures she and her crew will sail further afield, from the harbour of Cadiz to the the plantations of Madagascar and the distant shores of Mombasa, Goa, and Arabia. She will change her name to protect her family's identity, and also for their safety. These are the tales of a young woman with a thirst for adventure, living her life to the fullest, exploring, discovering, and mostly of all, helping people in need along the way. Renowned not only for her beauty and her cleverness, but feared far and wide for her skill with a blade. She was a woman to be feared and respected in a man's world.
This is her tale.
