Dogs Ain’t Dumb is a collection of 20 humor essays from Dustin Brady in which he tells embarrassing stories about himself and shares the important life lessons he learned along the way – lessons on:
Jury Duty – “In America, we’ve set an incredibly low bar for being a juror. Are you a person? Perfect, you’re almost there! Are you capable of signing a piece of paper that says, ‘Sure, I’d like the option of voting in an upcoming election’? Congratulations! You’re now obligated to decide incredibly complex matters of life and death. Your guide through this process will be two weasely lawyers who have mastered the art of tricking you.”
Nurses – “Because nurses spend all day around the deathly ill, they’ve all convinced theselves that they too are about to die. My operating room nurse wife is a perfect example. Her Google search history consists entirely of variations on this sentence: ‘Is [common symptom such as coughing, sneezing, headache, etc.] a symptom of [body part] cancer?’ A few months ago, she told me she’d been feeling tired lately. Then, she asked me if I thought that meant she had AIDS.”
City Council – “City Council meetings are amazing because they provide a rare opportunity for any citizen to go straight to the government and tell the government to STICK IT. The people who take advantage of this opportunity on a bi-weekly basis are usually old, cranky or insane. Most are all three.”

If you are the type of person who enjoys funny writing, you will probably like this book. If you are the type of person who enjoys commenting on political articles, you will probably not. Proceed accordingly.
A quick note: Dustin Brady usually writes fiction books for kids; however, this book is neither fiction, nor is it written for kids. That being said, this book is clean, so it should be fine for kids (but mostly just the ones who enjoy hot takes on jury duty and local politics).
