This is the sequel to "Common Ground." This book picks up just after Beechum Finch and Hudson Gudmani are attacked at their high school. In this book, Beechum and Hudson deal with healing, Beechum's mother's refusal to accept her son's gay relationship, the legal system for one of the attack perpetrators, leaving for college, and returning for Thanksgiving. The years are 2009 and 2010.
