In 2013, C.Jay Engel participated in an essay contest through The Trinity Foundation. The assignment was to read and interact with two books by Gordon H. Clark, a Reformed philosopher and theologian who has had profound impact on Engel's thought. These two books were: The Philosophy of Science and Belief in God and Behaviorism and Christianity.
