Uber San Diego A Complete Guide to America’s Finest City represents the first book in an Uber California’s Complete Guide Series. The book discusses the benefits including Uber tips both from a passenger and driver viewpoint. It also represents a complete travel guide to San Diego showing approximate fares from San Diego Airport to famous destination points throughout San Diego City and County limits. The purpose of the book is to educate visitors about Uber, its History and San Diego including links to top destination points throughout the region. It allows all travelers, young and Senior’s alike to become informed regarding our great region prior to traveling to our great city. This allows potential travelers an opportunity to plan their trip both from a financial and visitors prospective. I think any traveler will benefit from the information provided in this book. The book also includes interesting and funny stories from Uber passengers. Scott Bruce interviewed hundreds of passengers in this book finding detailed information regarding all types of topics. The book covers Uber travel for military base personnel and families who are utilizing the Uber experience from Camp Pendleton to Coronado Island. The book also cover International travelers from China, India, Saudi Arabia, England, Germany, France, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Scotland, Ireland, Mexico, Brazil Canada amongst many other countries represented in Mr. Bruce’s Uber car. One of the main rationales for the book occurred when a passenger in Downtown San Diego decided to go shopping in Pacific Beach. They were looking for a specific pair of shoes. Unfortunately the fare was around 25 dollars. They weren’t aware of Horton Plaza and its many shops only a mile away. The idea developed that many travelers were unaware of Uber as well as destination places throughout the city. The author has researched these places and I hope the reader enjoys this information. Finally, many Senior Citizens lack the experience of downloading apps on their smart phones. I talked with a senior who was 79 years old. She lives in the downtown area and it took her 6 months to download the Uber app. She now is experiencing Uber freedom while she travels to destinations throughout the city. Her experience saves thousands of dollars a year from owning a car. In San Diego, parking expenses, car payments, insurance, maintenance and gasoline expenses make a strong case for using Uber and public transportation as an alternative to car ownership. One Uber passenger told me her 88 year old mother in law was spending 4000 dollars a month for car insurance and car payments after her fourth accident. For military personnel, Uber San Diego provides a comprehensive guide to destination spots from military bases. Uber is much better than typical taxi transportation according to Mr. Bruce’s passengers. They like the fares which generally are less than half the cost of Taxi’s. They also enjoy talking to Uber drivers who are interesting according to his passengers. Furthermore, they like the convenience of service along with the clean environment of each car. The Uber app allows passengers to receive a ride with an average wait time of 4 minutes. Passengers can see the real location of their Uber driver. They also see how many Uber cars are around their geographical location. The longest wait time for any of my passengers is 20 minutes which is quite common for Taxi’s. Finally they like the professionalism of Uber drivers and feel safer using Uber. The guide also offers a best of San Diego guide for Universities, Restaurants, Hotels, Spas, Golf Courses, Tours, Shopping Malls, Nightlife, Microbreweries, Wineries as well as beaches. I hope my readers find this information both valuable and informative. This should provide a unique travel experience allowing travelers to research San Diego prior to their travels there. Finally, Uber offers a free ride for users who download the app. I hope you enjoy the book!
