In his sermon, A Breathing After God, Sibbes looks at the desire of a godly heart for worship. He draws this from the example of David in Psalm 27:4, “One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.” The true Christian has many good desires both spiritual and physical, but one desire rules them all--a thirst for worship and fellowship with God.
