Ebenezer Scrooge lives alone and cares about nothing but money. For seven years he has turned his back on love ever since his wife died tragically the morning after their wedding night.
He now despises love, especially at Christmas. So when his nephew Fred asks him to come to a special party where amusing party games are played and couples become very friendly with other couples, Scrooge refuses the invitation.
That night he is visited by the ghost of his wife Mary, late of seven years. She shows Scrooge visions of their love life as it would have been had she not died.
She tells Scrooge that he should embrace love in all its forms and promises that he will be visited by three ghosts who will show him acts of love from the past, present and future in order to warn him and encourage him to embrace love again.
