A Transgender Romance and Suspense Story
Ivy Douglas is the protagonist of the story. At 36, she is a star actor in Shakespearean theater. Ivy suffers from insomnia. She is haunted at night by memories of the 11 year old brutal murder of her lover Rebecca Scott. When Ivy was a man, Ivan, casting director Rebecca had selected him to play Bassanio in her production of The Merchant of Venice. Noting that Ivan was more comfortable wearing women characters’ costumes and delivering Lady Portia’s dialogue, Rebecca had given him the role of Portia. She also helps in the feminization of Ivan into Ivy. Unfortunately, Ivy finds Rebecca murdered before they have had the chance to stage the play.
