This is an authoritative but quite concise history of the Isles which are situated off the coast of the mainland of Europe. The book contains many dates, names, interpretations, speculations, opinions and also several possibly interesting or uncomfortable facts. The author wishes to make it known that they believe this work is as valid as many others which are being produced these days through various media outlets. The author does feel it only fair to advise any prospective reader that there are no mentions of conspiracies, nor accusations heaped upon one type of government or nation (though a few people are subject to critical examination).
