As A Shadow In A Dream (English Edition)

    Por Robert Godfrey

    Sobre

Lily Granger, a thirty-five year old woman, sits alone at a Paris café. She had come to Paris to study art. However, in the past several days she has learned that; she is not Lily Granger, she is a woman named Lili Katherine Bouchard; she had parents she never knew she had; neither parent survived the occupation of Paris during World War II; the woman who raised her was responsible for her parents deaths! She read all of this in a diary she found in the attic of the house she grew up in. As she thumbs through the diary a note falls onto the table. On it are the words ‘your papa is alive’!
Her entire life has been turned upside down, and she doesn’t know what to do. She’d always wondered who her father was. She had been told he was an American soldier killed during the war. Even though she had been born in France, Lily was a stranger in a country that was foreign to her. She had no idea how she would go about searching for him. She only knew that the more she thought about it, the more she wanted to find him.
When Lily left the café, she inadvertently left the diary. When she returned to retrieve it, it was gone. Several weeks later, a man she had met on her flight calls and tells her he has something of hers he would like to return – the diary! When they meet, he offers to help her find her father. She is reluctant, but accepts.
As they search, she discovers things about her parents, about herself, things that build the memory of a life that might have been, and a life that was yet to be lived.
“As A Shadow In A Dream” is the sequel to “The Girl Who Lived In Colours”.
