Brian Samson worked through the ranks until he became the post-war head of MI6?s Berlin Station. He gave his son Bernard his own distrust of authority, and his love for the city of Berlin. Bernard Samson has been flying a desk in London for five years. Now the best source the Department ever had in the East is convinced there is a high-level mole about to betray him. The only person he will trust is Bernard. So they need Bernard back in the field. And the field is Berlin.
