n 1990 V.K. Banks entered the United States Army on the pulse of a war. Her play is intended to share some of the fictitious experiences as a woman going through basic training. After completing basic training V.K. Banks went on to complete her advance training, with honors, and then to participate in the Persian Gulf War. She has earned the Southwest Asia Service Medal with two bronze stars and the Kuwait Liberation Medal.
