This book is a story of young man traveling in search of truth and answers from Ancient Rome, Athens to Jerusalem. After a narrow escape as a child in Rome, he takes refuge at Aristotle’s Lyceum in Athens and is trained to be a warrior by a Spartan mercenary.
He then returns for revenge, which causes him to flee his wealthy senatorial father who desires the Roman Empire for himself. He hides at the edge of the Empire in Palestina and becomes a guard for Herod Antipas until his encounter with Jesus of Nazareth and His Kingdom. Will he follow the Empire that spills blood or the one that was formed by the shedding of blood?
