Brian Cartwright, our hero, is the henpecked downtrodden husband of Nancy Cartwright. Whilst he is a mild, good natured man, his wife is a large, aggressive bully. She controls all of his life including prohibiting her husband from drinking any alcohol, except for one bottle a year on his birthday. Brian’s great friend and uncle; Teddy, lives next door. Like Brian, he lives under prohibition, enforced by his wife Carol. The pair meet nightly in the shed at the bottom of Brian’s garden and dream of one day being free from their lives of misery.
