The Brightest Day is centrally about life, love, sex and death in the context modernity. It has aspirations toward freedom and relates to every human being universally. Th e idea of democracy is limited in scope, concern?s for modern man should always be freedom of culture and individuality. Th e exploitation of any human being strikes me as abhorrent. Th e will to power must exist but channeled into artistic forms. Th ese poems represent a challenge to society. As an artist I wish to explore social issues thoroughly. As a great admirer of poetry this book?s only impact can be that of an immoderate artist. Christian ideals, economic tyranny. Th e aim of my poetry is to provoke awareness of the human condition.
