    "Catholic Peacemakers" is a collection of important primary sources in the Christian peace tradition. Volume 1 extends from biblical definitions of peace to the end of the Middle Ages. Volume 2 begins with the Renaissance humanists and goes up to the 1990s. Sources include biblical citations, works of philosophers and theologians, church and secular law, church councils, penitential and vision literature, letters, chronicles and histories, memoirs, satires, poetry, and fiction, essays, interviews, newspaper accounts and other documents. Each chapter contains an introduction to the period and its historical context and a series of readings, each with its own introduction about its author(s), themes, and impact. A general chapter for each volume contains a preface, introduction, list of abbreviations, and bibliography of readings for that volume. The collection contains 2 volumes, 16 chapters, 611 readings and 1800 pages. Each chapter is downloadable as a PDF file. Each contains an interactive table of bookmarks and is completely searchable.
