New technologies and a shifting health policy landscape are rapidly changing medication management. To achieve quality-improvement goals, health systems are called upon to apply knowledge consistently and systematically across interdisciplinary teams. Clinical decision-support systems (CDSS) are an effective means to these ends. At this pivotal time, the ASHP’s Pharmacy Practice Model Initiative (PPMI) is gaining recognition and momentum.
