Combining Analog and Digital Techniques
Do you have a lot of hand-drawn sketches lying around that you just want you could digitalize but don't know how? This book can get you started.
It’s completely different every time, but it forever starts with a hand-drawn sketch. Sometimes, I paint it fully by hand; generally I’ll scan in a pencil drawing. Several of my pieces are 100% analog that I’ll show only at outlets or galleries. Use anything you can; if the illustration would work as a wood carving, go that route. There are concrete steps one will take; however they definitely don’t need to be identical each time.
