Diversion: A Nation Under Siege (English Edition)

    Por Ed Pearson

    Sobre

From the devastation of the Civil War, America had risen to international prominence. Now her destiny was to lead the world in military, education, social justice and commerce. But there were lethal forces at work, both foreign and domestic, that threatened to destroy this destiny.
John Lamb, biology major and a new college graduate would find himself embroiled in a struggle to preserve the sanctity of America’s way of life. Germany, the great European power, would direct people and money to America to disrupt and destroy infrastructure, steal corporate secrets and recruit sympathetic immigrants to perform works of sabotage.
Working for the Federal Government, Lamb interfaced with bureaucrats at the highest level as he struggled to monitor activities surrounding the German Embassy and agents sent by Germany to our shores and through a porous border with Mexico. As U.S. and German trade was significant, our Presidents maintained a policy of non-confrontation in order to sustain our robust economy. This policy, indifference by succeeding administrations and America’s neutrality position came to define the barrier encountered by Lamb as he struggled to control the German encroachment.
Led by an egotistic General specifically tasked to destroy America’s war making capability and a career diplomat assigned to Washington, Germany had all the resources in place to achieve a plausible success.
But they had not counted on John Lamb and his stable of patriots, young like him. America was fortunate to have dedicated and brave men on which to rely. Political correctness, terrorism orchestrated by a foreign nation and illegal immigration began their ascension to the American lifestyle.
