Megan blames herself for her best friend?s death. She can gain absolution if she saves the life of a king in a world she sees only in dreams. Janek is a guard of Draca in that world, protecting the king on a night ride into haunted Dimwood Forest, where he and Megan come face to face with each other and with the king?s terrible secret.
