A local legend surrounds the strange Eagle Rock that juts out from near the mountain's summit. The area has a peaceful effect on those that are below it, leading people to believe it is caused by an odd magic. From tales based on witnesses, sometimes the rock hosts a witch, who watches over the silent hills in the distance. As such, the rock is also known as The Witch's Roost.
Few believe in the legend, but then, most are average people living normal lives.
