Inspired by true life events when a World War I soldier returns back to his hometown, he expects to experience equality between black and white people, but after he sees a wealthy plantation owner, who owns a cotton gin, cheat black farmers out of their cotton, him and a group of black farmers have a meeting at a church about selling their cotton somewhere else, which leads many white farmers to go into a rage and they go on a brutal killing spree of killing everything black in the town.
