Enterprise Resource Plaaning (ERP): Preparedness for ERP System Implementation of Small and Medium Enterprises
This book is an example of a research study with regards to ERP implementation preparedness of Small and Medium Enterprises. It comprise of a thesis format that follows ACM standard covering five major sections including the background of study, review of literature, methodology, presentation of findings, and conclusions and recommendations. The book study covers a complete research sample output of ERP preparedness study for SMEs. The objective of the study is to determine the preparedness of ERP Systems implementation for small and medium enterprises. Relative to the aim, this study sought to answer the questions, what is the level of awareness of SMEs; what are the factors involved in determining the readiness of ERP Systems implementation; and what is the level of readiness of SMEs supporting ERP Systems implementation in terms of resource and technical readiness? . ABSTRACT:
This study aimed to determine the preparedness of ERP Systems implementation for Small and medium enterprises in Prontera City. Implementation of ERP is very beneficial in any organization from different scale. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system integrates both internal and external information flows used by the organization within a single, comprehensive solution. An ERP solution incorporates the practical systems used by organizations to manage the basic commercial functions of their business, such as: planning, inventory/materials management, purchasing, manufacturing, finance, accounting, human resources, marketing and sales, services etc (Holtz 2013). Despite these benefits, this study determines the level of preparedness of the different small and medium enterprises in Prontera City in implementing ERP systems in terms of their resource capacity to provide IT Infrastructure and technical capability.
To gather data needed, it utilized the descriptive and documentary method of research and uses survey questionnaire with 4 point Likert Scale as a data gathering tool. To treat the data statistically to answer sub-problems that was raised in the study, the researcher used the average weighted mean.
