Have you ever come across a chess book that has so many long lines suggested that it becomes mind boggling? Have you ever read other sort of chess books which have nice comments, but don't have comments very often (e.g. There is several moves and then a comment and you were wondering why some of those several moves before the commented one was played? If that is the case, then this is the book for you. In this book an attempt was made to explain every move played in chosen games.
The author is trying to explain plans where applicable in simple words understandable to chess players of all levels. If a certain move was not part of the plan but rather had very concrete reasons to be played , those reasons were exposed before or after a move. When it comes to alternative moves to those that were played, author doesn't offer a list of long variations, but rather just a few moves with the explanation why those moves work or don't work.
Many times beginners are advised to analyse the games of the masters in order to increase their chess knowledge by familiarizing themselves with classical technique and different chess patterns. In this book we are trying to make this process of analyzing master games become a fun and easy task.
Who is this book for?
Anyone interested in chess can read this book. If we are talking about the benefit that might be derived from it , then this book is for players in the 800 -2000 Elo range, because it explains ideas and reasons behind each move and that is what players of that rating need more than long lines given by engines. If you don't have an Elo rating then this book is most probably for you (Most people that don't have Elo or USCF rating, would get one bellow 2000 after an official tournament. There are few exceptions to this)
