Intensity - You will not get results if your intensity is low. You may get results initially, mostly in the first few weeks and then you will plateau. High intensity comes from changing the number of repetitions during each workout, and also the amount of weight you use. Constantly surprise your body and you will get to burn fat faster. Aerobics are low intensity and weight training is high intensity. How you incorporate these exercises into your exercise routine will determine your results. 2. Rest - As important as the workout is that you do, so is the rest in between sessions. Your muscles need time to rest and repair. A minimum of 1 to 3 full days of rest is recommended between resistance workouts. This is also the time that your muscle mass will build. Exercise too soon after a workout and you risk undoing all the good work you have just put into the workout. Bonus Tip: You need to add muscle to your body to ensure the maximum fat burning results. That applies to both men and women. Most women think "I don' t want to gain muscle, I want to lose weight!" Sorry, but the two do go hand in hand.
