First generation abroad

"First Generation Abroad" is a travelogue written by Jen's great-grandmother, Alwine Baurman, on her 1910 trip to Europe. The cover consists of a photograph of Alwine taken around the time of her journey. In the background is a photocopied page of her journal, showing her handwriting. Through Jen's transcription and Alwine's vivid descriptions, the readers will find themselves completely captivated with the narrative.
