In 1896 three Chinese men and their burros were buried in an old gold mine cave-in on my property in Congress. After Yang Chan, and his brothers die his 17 year old son, Li, is left alone. At the same time Maria, a 15 year old Mexican girl and her 4 year old brother, Joey, find themselves alone when their mother dies.
