In 2014, Kelly and Michael headed off on their first cycle tour, cycling 8,500km from France to China. Neither of them had any experience cycle touring and knew very little about bicycles. They headed off from France with only 6 weeks preparation and planning, the cheapest gear they could find, and some second hand bikes that picked up from a bike store in France. They had no expectations to make it to China, however through all odds and a lot of hard peddle work, they made it! This ebook is a collection of posts from their France to China cycle trip.
To keep motivated the couple decided to fundraise for two charities they felt strongly about. Michael chose St. Rocco's Cancer hospice. The hospice took care of one of Michael's relatives a few months prior to the start of the trip. And, Kelly chose Wateraid and the global sanitation crisis.
