I grew up in a broken home and was extremely emotionally, mentally, spiritually, physically and verbally abused by my mother. I was molested by my cousin, beat by my ex-boyfriend and was sexually assaulted by two guys I barely knew, they took turns, one after the other. I’ve attempted suicide twice. I went through a severe bout of clinical depression for some years and nearly had a mental breakdown but I didn’t.
I survived and overcame all of that and all that was done to me. I conquered my fears, my anger, and resentments, and defeated my depression. I took responsibility for my mental state and health and I took back control of my life and decided to choose happiness, a peace of mind and to live the life I wanted. I’m traveling the world at the moment and decided I wanted to share my story and my recovery with those who can relate and feel that they are alone and there’s no way out.
Those days of me crying myself to sleep are long behind me now, I woke up from my depressive zombie walk through life and now I’m living my life on my own terms. I have written this book and a series a books not from the perspective of a professional, I’m not a therapist and I don’t have a medical degree, I’ve written this book using my own life experiences, my own observations of the world around me but I’ve also used facts to confirm my beliefs.
Anger usually stems from some other suppressed emotion and anger is one of the most destructive emotions we can hold onto but one of the easiest emotions to expressed. We feel that it keeps us from becoming vulnerable to the hurt that others can cause us. Anger can have destructive short and long term effects on us physically, psychologically, emotionally, mentally and even spiritually and most of us will live and dies holding on to the anger and resentment we feel, allowing it to build up to the point where it's no longer in our control. So I feel that this is an important discussion to have.
Throughout my life I've had to practice forgiveness, not for the ones who have hurt me but I chose forgiveness so I could stop the hurt and resentment that I was holding onto from having a hold on me, my mental state and my life and I want to pass the lessons I have learned when it comes to anger, resentment and forgives to others.
Along with the anger, we hold onto because there was a severe injustice done to us, but also all the little petty things that happen to us on a daily basis also can have a very negative effect on our lives if we continue to hold onto it. Letting go and learning how to forgive is extremely beneficial to our mental and emotional well-being.
I’ve written these books from a tough love, non-apologetic and without sugar coating a single detail point of view. I’m not perfect, I never will be and I don’t strive to be anything less than who I really am but I have overcome a tremendous amount of heartache and setbacks in life and I feel that I have something of value to share with the world, so please if your someone who has found themselves struggling because of past traumas, anger, fear, depression or just struggling to find yourself in life, if you have the time please to give this book a read and if you find it of some help then share it with others that you feel could benefit from the lessons I‘ve learned and could use the tools that I have developed to overcome my past and go from victim to victor. Pass this book along and enjoy the read, I hope it helps.
Thank you
