Pat Allen Kaplon was born in Maryland and now lives in Madison, Virginia with her husband, Don. She is an avid reader of both prose and poetry and writes in both mediums. Ms. Kaplon is the author of A CHILD CALLED HOPE, recently published, and now follows that book with HEART POEMS, poetry to touch the heart. Ms. Kaplon?s poetry has won several national competitions, notably The Poetry Society of Virginia?s 2000 and 2001 contests. Several of her poems have also been featured in The Poet?s Domaine, a Virginia publication. For all of us, there is something that touches our hearts. It may be a lover, a child, a sunset, a place, or a pet. It may be our spouse, a life, a death, or a new baby. It may be a phrase read in a novel, or a line in a favorite poem. But, there is always something- something that reaches our most important center. HEART POEMS explores these things.
