Homecoming (English Edition)

Veronica returns to her hometown of Zagreb in Croatia to write about the plight of Bosnian Muslim refugees after the early ‘90s Serb attacks. Her friend Mira encourages Veronica to visit their old school, now a home for abused Bosnian girls. Among the rape victims, Veronica recognizes the daughter of a former classmate. Fifteen-year-old Suleima is pregnant. Time spent with the girl prompts Veronica to sponsor her in America. She brings Suleima to Seattle, WA, where she gives birth to a little girl.
