How to Effectively Memorize Your Speech in Six Easy Steps: A Guide to Memorization for Public Speaking (English Edition)

    Por M.A. Kohain

    Sobre

This book contains memorization techniques applicable to all forms of public speaking including, but not limited to, Formal Speeches, Lectures, Sales Presentations, Theatrics, Sermons, Eulogies, and Toasts.

"Acts of recollection, as they occur in experience, are due to the fact that one movement has by nature another that succeeds it in regular order." –Aristotle, On Memory and Reminiscence (1)

    From the book:
"The techniques detailed in this book for memorizing speeches take advantage of the sense of vision, both inward and outward, as well as the sense of location. Through these senses, our most enduring and easily recallable memories are formed. In the Art of Memory applied to speeches we take advantage of them to increase the quality and speed of memorization. To do this, we create images to represent the content of our speeches, including the various examples, stories, quotes, facts, potentially each and every sentence, and, on rare occasions, every single word. These images are subsequently bound to Memory Loci in order to further cement them into memory, as well as to enable their sequential recollection."
