The Appendix consists of three articles written in the following years which also dealt with the evolution of the American Socialist and Labor movements in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

This history of the political challenges immigration posed for the American working class in this period is relevant today; not only for the American movement but for the movement internationally.
