Jessa and Dahni – The Life They Remember is a batch of short stories based on dreams I've had.
It is the mid-1800's. Jessa, originally from New England, is the daughter of a whaling boat captain. The expedition meets an untimely end and Jessa alone washes up on the shore of an inhabited island in the South Pacific. She is six years old.
Dahni, twelve, is a son of the King, and heir to the throne. Sometimes he is wise beyond his years, and sometimes his entitlement gets in the way. He is a good person, and he cares about his island. He knows from the moment he sees Jessa that they will be linked together.
This series is their Life and their Love.
The first installment – He Tells of Her Arrival to The Island – is their recollection of a night they have together when they are adults.
