By 32 Bunyan had become a literate, fiery nonconformist preacher. Bunyan was thrown into prison for 10 years. He was released, then imprisoned again. He did more than preach to other prisoners. Bunyan, the tinker, the fixer of things broken. made a violin out of tin, a flute from a chair leg.
